Sometimes life throws you a curve ball. For the past year now, I've been planning on going into nursing. I took care of some girls that really changed my life, and nursing was the thing for me to do. I loved taking care of them, it really is a sense of accomplishment. But sometimes life isn't always what it seems. This semester, yeah it's only been 3 weeks but oh well, this past semester nursing has started not feeling like the right thing for me to do. So like any Mormon would do, I started praying and really thinking about my life. I have always been interested in cosmetology, and thought maybe I would give that a shot. I applied for the Marinello School of Beauty in Provo. Well, my best friend lives in Provo and I went to visit her this past weekend. Friday afternoon about 30 minutes before I was going to leave for Provo I got a phone call from an unknown caller with an 801 area code! I thought to myself, NO WAY! So I answered, and that's when this all started. It was the admissions office from Marinello and she was interested in meeting with me. She knew I was up in good ol' Rexburg and she asked if I ever came to Provo, and I told her that it just so happened that I was going to be in P-town for the weekend! She asked if I wanted to come in and look at the school and interview with her and I said yes! So Saturday afternoon I went to the school and fell in love with it. She showed me around, talked to me about everything and asked me questions. Well at the end of the interview she asked me if I could see myself here, and I said that I could, and she said so can I! Welcome to Marinello!
So now, instead of going to Nursing school and saving peoples lives, I am going to beauty school and I'm going to make people look pretty. I can understand that this is definitely a huge shock to some people because everything just happened so fast. But when life throws you curve balls, you've just gotta go with it.
