Presidents Day Weekend!

What a fun three day weekend! I went to Utah to see some of my friends, namely Katelyn and Camie! We got there Friday night. First, Katelyn and I went to Dairy Queen, and got some frozen hot chocolate(if you've never tried any, you have to, it's divine!) We went back to Katelyns with Camie and had some of their friends come over and we played a game of curses! Fun game, if you've never played.... You definitely should! So we played curses, hung out and talked, then we all went our separate ways and I got some sleep. Then  started Saturday! Saturday was quite an adventure. We met up with some friends from Rexburg. Jared, Paul, Tyler, Nic, Nic's friend Jen, and Camie, Katelyn and me. We all went to Chipotle. Yum :) After Chipotle we decided to go to Hobbitville.... Lots of rumors about what Hobbitville really is, just go google it! So we took 2 cars to Hobbitville. Katelyn turned in first then Paul after. I was in Paul's car, and when we turned into the little lane Katelyn's car was just parked there. So I called her and asked what was going on. Apparently there was a scary man that gave them an evil look so they decided to leave. Well, I was in the car with Jared, Paul and Tyler and we wanted to see the man... Stupid.. Well, we pull forward, and that's when I saw the scariest man I've ever seen... Ever! He had long scary hair, and a scary beard, a long coat and a hat. And he just started walking towards our car! Freaky! Well we couldn't back out because Katelyn was still there trying to get out.. So we were just there. The scary man turned around and went back into his little grove of trees, so we thought we were okay. But! He then comes out holding something tall and sorta thin... The 4 of us were all looking at him and trying to figure out what it was... Well all the sudden I realized that it was a GUN! So of course I yelled "He has a gun!!!!!!!" So we all started freaking out! This scary man was walking towards our car, WITH A GUN! I truly believed I was going to die. Well, good news, Katelyn got out finally, so we backed out and sped away! It was extremely scary! We all went back to Katelyn's house. It was snowing.. Pretty bad! Well, anyone who knows Bountiful Utah, knows that it is just one giant hill. We were driving up the hill... Lost our momentum and got stuck in the snow! So after being at gun point we got stuck in the snow for about 30 minutes! What an exciting night! We ended our crazy adventure by watching Toy Story 3! Sunday was pretty exciting though, I went to church with Katelyn... and... I MET PRESIDENT HENRY B. EYERING! Coolest experience of my life. He is in her ward! So, naturally he was at church. We shook hands, chatted, and I just knew that the gospel is true! The spirit just radiates off of that man. What an amazing experience. Overall, the weekend was a success, lots of memories and fun times :)

On a side note, in an earlier post I wrote that I would be attending Marinello School of Beauty in Provo. Well that school is just a little too expensive, so as of right now (if everything goes as planned, and I can get someone to sign a loan for me...) I will be attending Paul Mitchell: The Hair Academy, right here in Rexburg, Idaho! I thought I wanted to leave this place for Provo, but I was wrong. I love it here in Rexburg, and I'm just not ready to leave it!

Idaho Falls with The Rooms.

Well today I went to the far away town of Idaho Falls. Even though it's only about 30 minutes away, it's quite the get away. Well, we went to WinCo, it's a Costco/Sams Club type store. Pretty rad. Well we went to Winco, then the MALL! And anyone that knows me, knows that I absolutely love the mall. I could live there... Anyway, back to my story. We went to the mall. I practiced self control today, I think everyone should be proud. I have a weakness, I love new jeans. American Eagle jeans to be exact. We were at AE and I found a beautiful pair of jeans that looked fabulous on me! But, I DIDN'T buy them! I figured since I just bought a new pair of jeans LAST weekend, I figured I didn't really need another pair. So I didn't buy them! Impressive huh? Well, I did get a new shirt from Old Navy, it's super cute:) Well, after Old Navy we went to Red Robin... YUMMM. Liz's Birthday is on Monday so we celebrated her birthday there! We finished eating, went to Wal-Mart, finished there and headed back to good ol' Rexburg. Today was a beautiful day, spent with amazing people! I'm so blessed this semester with awesome roommates! I really couldn't have asked for better ones! Here are some pictures from the eventful day in Idaho Falls! Until next time :)
Meet the roommates. Liz, me, Sarah, Austrie and Jesika
This is my room roommates Liz! (Her birthday is on Monday!)
Happy Birthday, Liz!!!
In Sarah's car there was only room for 5 out of the 6 people to have seat belts, so I took one for the team and sat in the bean bag on the floor at their feet. I made it work :)

Basically, to sum this up... I have some amazing roommates, and I feel so blessed to have them in my life! Having these girls (plus Jim who is the mysterious man in the background of this last photo) as my friends! I am blessed, and I love life :)

Here's a shout out to Austrie, who is my one faithful follower... You're awesome!!!

chocolate+strawberries+a good friend=great night

Well tonight was pretty epic. I was hanging out with my dear friend Nic, and we made some delicious dinner consisting of chicken, pasta and corn! Mmmm :) Well, we were sitting at his apartment, doing nothing exciting at all. Then I decided we should make some chocolate covered strawberries! Becuase, you know they make me happy! Well we went the store, got the strawberries, got the chocolate, came back to my apartment and went to work!
We started out great! The strawberries looked fantastic, but slowly but also pretty fastly... They started looking terrible. The chocolate was getting too hot, so it was clumping together. Nic and I tried to figure out what was going on. But we couldn't pin point it. Well, I came up with the genius idea of putting our bowl of chocolate outside (in the 10 degree weather) so that it would cool down, and maybe it would work. To Nic, and my roommates surprise... It actually worked! So we finished up the strawberries. Also, on a side note, we put the strawberries in my lovely Texas shaped platter! It was amazing. Well, we finished the strawberries, ate some. They were delicious. We took the strawberries to a friend of ours house, McKay Tingey, and we all enjoyed the delicious strawberries. Happiness is friends and chocolate.
Sorry guys, I couldn't figure out how to make it not be upside down!

P.S. I also got a chia pet for my birthday that was like a month ago. Well it's an elephant shape, and it's looking fabulous. Anyone have any name suggestions for this chia pet of mine?

I'm off my soap box.

Well my last post was all about me complaining... But I'm done with that! Here's just a few things in life that  can make me happy!

 My little brother, Kenny
My beautiful niece Cozette Michele
My family
Diet Coke
Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Confessions of a Shopoholic
Last, but most definitely not least, my religion

Now, those are just a few things in life that make me happy. My list could go on for miles and miles... or pages and pages, but whatever, you know what I mean:) I'm so thankful that I've been so blessed in my life, and I hope that I can remember when I'm feeling blue, or like a Debbie Downer to remember that it's really the little things in life :)

new semester, new friends.

Well here I am in my second semester at BYU-I, still loving it.. But not as much. Last semester, my first semester. was definitely the most amazing three months of my life. I had amazing roommates, awesome friends, and awesome ward. Basically, I was living the life.

This semester is great too... I mean I have really great roommates whom I love dearly, my ward is awesome too, and so are my friends, but there's a couple of major people missing in my life right now that is making it hard.

I guess this post is going to be a "poor me" post. I'm sitting here at 1:30 in the a.m. on a school night, reminiscing last semester, thinking about 2 people that are missing right now. This isn't to make you feel bad for me, sometimes when I write things down (even though this is kinda jumbled, please keep in mind the time!) But I'm sitting here thinking about these people and really just missing them, so I decided to dedicate this post to them.

The first, is this girl, Katelyn Marie Bleak
She is the person that keeps me going, the girl that keeps me headed in the right direction. I'm so lucky to have her as a friend. BYU-I has this three track system where people either have fall/winter, fall/spring or winter/spring. Well I'm on the lucky track of fall/winter, but my dear Katelyn Mario is on fall/spring! So we aren't living together again, and I feel like my other half has been ripped away from me! We had so many fun times, so many amazing/funny/crazy/awesome memories together! As you can tell from this picture, her and I are basically completely alike. We are like 2 peas in a pod. She's amazing, and I love her. I miss her greatly!

This second person that I miss more then anything is Elder Philip Andrew Wagner
Meet Drew, currently known as Elder Wagner. He is serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He's in the Manchester, New Hampshire Mission. He is the most amazing guy, outside of my family, that I've ever met. He's sweet, funny, smart, hard working, and probably my best guy friend that I've ever had. He, along with Katelyn, made last semester the best semester ever. He was always up to doing fun or crazy things. He bought me so many diet cokes, I couldn't even count if I tried. He was always a perfect gentlemen and let me have my random girl freak outs. He's amazing, and I'm so proud of him for being on a mission!!!

Basically this is another one of my super random and really long blogs. But sometimes I just need to write what I'm thinking out! Guess that's what blogging is for, huh? :) Well anyway, I'm hoping to get better at this whole blog thing, so stay tuned :)
